It is interesting to see just how unique our organizations are here in Pittsburgh.  This list is so that you may reach them and each other, for information or coordinating your efforts for adventures!

American Red Cross, Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter, 225 Blvd. of the Allies, Box 1769, Pittsburgh, PA 15230.  412-263-3166.  Mission: The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The Andy Warhol Museum, 117 Sandusky Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 Art Museum, North Shore.  412-237-8300.  Mission: The largest single-artist museum in the world, with seven floors dedicated to the life and work of Andy Warhol. Presents regular programs featuring bands, lectures, films, performance art and more. Mission: The Warhol is a vital forum in which diverse audiences of artists, scholars, and the general public are galvanized through creative interaction with the art and life of Andy Warhol. The Warhol is ever-changing, constantly redefining itself in relationship to contemporary life using its unique collections and dynamic interactive programming as tools.

Brew House Association, Inc., 2100 Mary Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Mission: The Brew House Association is a unique not-for-profit arts association that has for many years been a cultural force in Pittsburgh's South Side. As part of its mission the Association provides a public forum for the visual and performing arts in two spaces in its historic building, the SPACE 101 gallery and SPACE 102 performance area. The Association also provides education in the arts, cost-effective live/work spaces for artists, and a vital gathering place for the region's artistic community.

Dreaming Ant Productions - 509 Coal St, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.  412-241-1139.  Dreaming Ant Productions is a Pittsburgh-based video production company formed in early 2002. Dreaming Ant's initial project, is an eclectic video portrait of Pittsburgh's diverse music scene.

element 5 - Pittsburgh, PA. Mission: We are dedicated to bringing out the soul of underground culture in the city of bridges and helping build a community interconnected with the elements beneath the surface. Our goal is to promote collective creativity through a fluid intersection of people, places, ideas and vibrations. In doing so, we seek to connect independent arts and culture to the urban development of Pittsburgh and unlock the potential energy through the poetry of people in motion....

Entrepreneurial Thursday - Dowe's on 9th Jazz Club, Ninth St., Downtown. 412-281-922 Mission: The E.T. Show's mission is to promote and celebrate innovation in the business, music and economic development communities of the Pittsburgh region, through a flexible (improvisation encouraged!), casual and consistent social and networking happy hour event. An emphasis is placed on bringing entrepreneurs (for-profit and non-profit) together with financing sources from inside and outside of the Pittsburgh region, as the entrepreneurial community has consistently voiced a great need for such networking during the E.T. Show's first year.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western PA, 555 Grant Street, Suite 425, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.  412-471-9474.  Mission: The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Mattress Factory, 500 Sampsonia Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. 412-231-3169.  Mission: Located on Pittsburgh's North Side since 1977, the Mattress Factory is hailed as the best facility for installation art in the United States. The Mattress Factory is a research and development lab for artists that commissions new site-specific works in a wholly supportive environment for artists.

Music Awareness Pittsburgh - 509 Coal St, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.  412-241-1139.  Mission: To stimulate interest and appreciation for music in Pittsburgh.  MAP is a nonprofit project of the Tides Center of Western Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation, Suite 450, 100 West Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1134. 412-471-5808. Mission: Founded in 1964, the PHLF is a non-profit historic preservation group serving Allegheny County. It is dedicated to identifying and preserving the architectural landmarks, historic neighborhoods, and historic designed landscapes of Allegheny County and to educating people about this region's architectural heritage and urban and landscape design history.

Pittsburgh's Next, 513-1B Oaklynn Court, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. 412-341-1487 - Mission: Vision -- To inspire Pittsburgh's next generation to become actively involved in the political, economic, cultural, and social issues that affect the quality of life in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Mission -- We help Pittsburgh's next generation to discover Pittsburgh by connecting them to the community through a series of forums, involvement workshops, and social events.

Pittsburgh Public Theater, O’Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.  412-316-8200.  Mission: Pittsburgh’s largest, nationally recognized professional theater, now in its 28th season. Seven productions per season including world classics, comedy, musicals, contemporary drama, and premieres of new works with performances running October through mid-July.

Pittsburgh Pub Crawl International, a social group that explores the bars in Pittsburgh (and throughout the world). The goals of the group include providing an opportunity for participants to meet others in Pittsburgh and visit places they may not visit alone. Pittsburgh Young Professionals
